By participating in the Traverse City Zombie Run, you will help raise funds to benefit TART Trails, make new friends, have a lot of fun, and be part of a new Traverse City Halloween Tradition.
After completing the ONLINE VOLUNTEER FORM below you will receive an email notification with your arrival time, parking instructions, locations, and time, date, and location of our pre-run Volunteer Party at Right Brain Brewery.
All volunteers receive a Zombie Run t-shirt to wear the day of the event, free pizza and a beer at the volunteer training party at Right Brain Brewery.
Volunteer Job Descriptions
Street Team: This is an urban run and the city requires that many streets be closed with barricades and intersections monitored to ensure the safety of all runners and walkers. This will require the help of many volunteers. Duties include directing traffic and the set up of street barricades.
Registration: Late Registration will take place at packet pick up and on race day. Volunteers will be needed on both days.
Food and Beverage Station: Volunteers will help with the distribution of food and beverages at the Meijer refreshment tent.
T-shirts Distribution: Volunteers will distribute T-shirts during packet pick up and race day registration.
Awards: Volunteers will help with the distribution of race medals.
Set Up/Breakdown: Volunteers will assist in the setting up and breaking down of the event: hanging of signs and banners, seting up race shoot, food and beverage tent, registration supplies, handing out T-shirts, and post race clean up.
Street Barricades: Volunteers will deliver street barricades along the race rout and then remove them after the race.
Timers and Start/Finish Line: Volunteers will assist timing company at the start/finish line.
Pre race: Volunteers will be needed in the days leading up to the event to assist with folding T-shirts, distributing fliers, and promoting the event.
